Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia Spring Concert

Welcome to the podium Music Director and Conductor Cameron May for his season debut with the Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia. Mr. May has chosen a program for the Conservatory Orchestra with a wide variety of styles and genres, while highlighting English, German, and Finnish composers. Don’t miss this final concert of the season!

Mozart, Overture to the Magic Flute; Plog, Triple Concerto
featuring ~ Carter Rowell – Trumpet, Emma Tranum – French Horn, Ian Rigg – Trombone; Elgar, Nimrod from Enigma Variations; and Sibelius, Finlandia.
The Brass Choir, Greg Allison conductor, will open the concert with Marlatt’s Concord Fanfare. Their portion of the program will also include All Things Bright and Beautiful and Hanssen’s Valdres.
